Fall of Autumn September Newsletter It's been awhile since you've heard from us! We here at FoA hope you've all been well and apologize for the recent lack in communication. Summer got the best of us, as we hope it did for you. Alan, Kate, and Aaron were pretty busy over the past few months with their own personal projects like youtube videos, moving, traveling, and the general frolicking that happens when it gets warm outside. We're back to business though and have a lot to talk about so we hope you'll bear with us as this newsletter will be a little longer than usual.
The DistroThe distro has moved! We realize that over the past few months we've been slow and have had many difficulties getting orders together. While plenty of the problems have been the fault of the USPS, we also recognize issues we had on our end and we know we can do better too. Our deepest apologies to all of you while we've been working on this problem. We've not only got a new place for the distro, but also a whole new system of organization, inventory, and shipping. We realize that you won't see any of that, but it means we'll be shipping more frequently and with better accuracy (we're literally a few blocks away from the main post office in Chicago, which has amazing hours). We hope however, that these pictures will at least give you an idea of how awesome we're going to make things in the future.

Living Proof 5 - Rapprochement.: The fifth installment of Andrew Mall's zine, Living Proof. In Andrew's own words: "Think of this issue instead as an alternative narrative, a celebration of coming together over shared experiences and passions, best accompanied by the strains of your favorite depressing record, a fanzine for your favorite band, or a mixtape from a friend who has been hurt before and has emerged stronger for it." Exclusively distroed by Fall of Autumn. $3.00. Wholesale rates available.
Listen Up Issue 1: In Mickey's own words: "Listen Up is a zine consisting of interviews with different people. The premise is that I sit down with someone and play five completely random songs off of my iPod. While the songs are playing we have a conversation. No two conversations are the same." Aaron says: "This is possibly one of the best zines I've seen all year."
Conscious Defect 6: The sixth installment of Conscious Defect. More travel stories, scams, and reports on how to live life outside the capitalist estate. We have a limited copy of these, so once they're gone, they're gone!
The Black Lake - Winter 2007: A fanzine dedicated to Harry Potter by our own Kate Sandler. Reviews of Harry Potter fansites, delicious HP recipeies, and plenty more about the boy who lived.
Zinester Podcast SeriesWe're gearing up for another season of zinester podcasts. While we have a handful almost ready to go, we would love to have plenty more, which is why we need you to contribute! We have pretty much an open submission policy, so please, send us some material! It's really easy - get all the directions on our phone podcast line here.If you're tech savvy and able to record yourself at home (or live, at the office, in the car, wherever) you can just send us an mp3. If you're local to Chicago, or going to be in the area, feel free to e-mail us and you can come by and we'll record you! We're also working on some new ideas for the podcast series, so we'd love to hear feedback from you on the series. What do you like, what do you hate, what would you like to see more of? Drop us a line.
Upcoming AppearancesUnfortunately it doesn't look like we'll be traveling much over the next few months, although we will be at the Ephemera Festival in November. Keep watching for details.
Online ContentWe'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming soon, which means many many more zine and music reviews. We got some great stuff over the past couple of months and can't wait to share it with you. We've also got plenty of other stuff on deck, including new tutorials and columns.
Stolen Sharpie RevolutionYou've probably heard us gush about this already, but we will be publishing the fourth edition of Alex Wreck's Stolen Sharpie Revolution sometime soon. We're still working out some financial kinks as well as a lot of the logistical bits and pieces. More details as we get them.
That's it for this month. Next month will be our two year anniversary! Watch for out for some awesome stuff (distro sales, maybe a live show) in honor!
