Advertising in Punk Planet magazine is easy! Punk Planet comes out every-other month and has a paid circulation of close to 15,000 people.

We prefer that you submit your ad electronically.
You can e-mail your digital ad copy to: ads[at]punkplanet[dot]com
You can pay for your ad online with a credit card at our merch table.

If you need to mail us a hardcopy of your ad or mail us a check, that is totally fine. Please mail to:
Punk Planet 4229 N. Honore, Chicago IL 60613

Our ad rates are purposefully low and affordable so even the smallest DIY company can afford a space in the magazine. As a result of these low rates, we don’t offer discounts or multiple insertions or for advertising in multiple issues.

Call 773-248-7172 or e-mail ads[at]punkplanet[dot]com to reserve your ad.

We need your ad and your payment before an ad will run.

Punk Planet does not accept ads from major labels, other multi-national corporations or their subsidiaries. Please respect that and don’t try to sneak one past us.

Advertising specs

-All ads run black and white.

-We would prefer your ad submitted digitally.

-We will only accept digital ads in Mac-compatible TIF (300 dpi) or PDF (with no compression, all fonts and images embedded) formats.

-Digital ads must be e-mailed by the deadline (and we need to have received payment by then as well).
-Ads will be digitally output at 133 lpi.

-If your ad is missing fonts (which it shouldn’t because we want fonts embedded in that PDF), is too low-res, or there are other design problems with your ad (tiny type that gets halftoned etc…) we can’t take responsibility—please do know what you’re doing when you turn your ad in. We will try our damndest to make sure your ad looks good, but can’t chase down 100 advertisers with 100 different problems.

-If you would like to submit your ad as a camera-ready positive, we still accept those too. All camera-ready ads will be scanned, placed, and output digitally. As a result, there may be unexpected moire patterns, soft type, and other oddities. However, we like things to look good in our magazine and will scan your ad as best we can. Ultimately, though if you want maximum quality, go digital.
