Excuse me, Mr. Obama...

by Alan Lastufka | 07/06/2007 | in CNN | not battlestar galactica | presidential debates | youtube

In a pretty historic (in my opinion) event, YouTube has partnered with CNN to allow its users to submit questions for the 2008 Presidential Debates. Anyone with a video camera and a YouTube account can upload a video in which they ask their question. If your question/video is selected by YouTube and CNN, it will air live on national television on Monday, July 23rd during the debate and your question will be answered by the Presidential hopefuls.

I’ve submitted the above question/video, in which I talk a little about media consolidation and deregulations.

I’d love to hear your opinion, but please, leave it as a comment on YouTube, so others can join in the discussion as well.

Huge thank you to Aaron Cynic for helping me voice my frustration in the form of a question...

I would do this, but I doubt CNN/Youtube would really be comfortable with asking Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John Edwards "Why are you such cowardly, corporation-shilling douchebags?".

I think that would be right up youtube's alley, though I don't think CNN would pick it. I'm gonna ask Hil: "boxers or briefs" and everyone will laugh, and her candid response will soften her her cold exterior and humanize her in the eyes of the youth. And she still won't have a snowball's chance in Hell. And I still won't care. I'd rather vote for Ron Paul over any of the Dems. And there's no way in Hell I'm voting for Ron Paul.

I couldn't possibly stand how sick I'll feel if either Romney or Thompson becomes president.

Romney has absolutely no chance. Thompson I'm a little worried about.

That's because the lighting I have to use when filming is super bright and it makes my eyes water.

Others have asked worse. There's almost 500 questions submitted already. And I've only watched about 20% of them.

That's no way to talk about the next president of the USA. Seriously. Romney is gonna win. And the republicans could nominate the corpse of Strom Thurmond and he would beat Hillary. I actually changed my party affiliation so I could vote for Obama in the New York primaries, but it won't do any good. Hillary will be nominated and Romney will be president.

But Romney has a much better chance than McCain or Giuliani. And the big money donors seem to like him.

I'm gonna vote for whoever Skuzz is down with. I like his keen political analysis.

And don't rule Giuliani out too soon. I think either he or Romney will get the GOP nomination. McCain is a spent force and Fred isn't pulling in the support like those two are. As for the Dems... *sigh*. I'm just glad Nader might run again!

hey you FOX NEWS CONSULTANTS, the election is a long way off yet and there is still plenty of time for the Cheney Administration to change the election rules, the constitution, and dissolve the Imperial Senate thus making it possible for Bush Jr. to be elected to a life time term.

Just you wait and see.

Maybe not. if you reworded it into a question that addressed specific alliances instead of using a generalized statement.

this debate ranks right up there as silliest shit to happen to the political process since, well, the Congress enacted a suit and tie verison of FAME on the capitol steps, holding hands and swaying in time while singing the God Bless America.

The only thing missing from that was LeRoy and CoCo flying through the air in a spandex splits while Bruno suddenly had a piano to bang on while Debbie Allen pranced on top.

If this constitutes participatory democracy, by allah's swollen figsacs, we are totally delusional and FUCKED.
