Cooking with Contraceptives of Convuluted Consistency

by Beetlejuice | 07/13/2007

Has there ever been a period where more teens have been impregnated than now? Mediocre girls either cant keep their tender little legs closed or they think that their partner will lower their “willing” cred if they request a condom. Poor girls, so blind.

By the way, i stole the title and modified it according to Miranda's comment.

Great. My comment spawned a misogynist rant by a teenage girl.

The greatest is that I spawned another comment from another misogynist chick completely irrevelant to the main topic and obviously unaware of any personal information of mine, particularly my age.

Flying H. Spaghetti Monster! Do you have any idea what you're talking about? Exactly how am I misogynistic?

By the way, the term chick is degrading. Call yourself what you want, but when you apply it to other people it is an insult.

Maybe if you understood what i was writing about, you would have ceased with your women-hating comments towards me.
I simply stated about some of the teenage girls in this generation who become impregnated at a young age. What, there isnt any in your town?
"Exactly how [are you] misogynistic?"
Well, thats a good question only the girls who have been insulted by you should answer.

And please, spare me from your "degrading" vocabulary rants that you carry everywhere. If you never want to be insulted again, please seclude yourself from any living creature.

The peak year of teen pregnancies and births was 1957. It has been on the decline ever since. Contrary to popular misconceptions, teen pregnancy in the United States is at an all time low. Nevertheless it's much higher than other Westnern countries who don't have their collective heads up their abstinance only education asses.

That said, I do wonder what you mean by "mediocre" girls. Girls of all backgrounds get knocked up. And the answer isn't keeping your legs closed (unless you want to), it's information and access to safe affordable birth control.

I think the teen pregnancy rates may have been significantly higher than those achieved in 1957 for 99.9% of the 200,000 years that humans have walked the earth.

I disagree, teen pregnancy has increased since 1957. Whether girls (or guys) are misinformed or simply not educated, (though I don’t think that’s the case,) the point is teen pregnancy remains a variable in the American society.
Yes, it is undeniable that they have been subjected to more sexual education by parents, schools, and organizations, but birth control becomes hard and not practical to be obtained by these teens. Taking that into consideration, teens are more likely to become involved in sexual relations without formal protection. Another thing taken into consideration is that, based on some allegations by impregnated teens, their partners avoided the use of a condom simply because they didn’t have one “handy”.
Consequentially, due to sexual education, some speculate that teen pregnancy is at an all time low. The western industrialized world has shown that the numbers are far from perfect. Even though sexual education is provided, they keep it to a minimum. Parents, teachers and media have avoided massively spreading awareness because they believe that doing so will increase a teens sexual desire. Maybe, maybe not. The fact is that birth control and other forms of contraceptives become hard for teens to acquire and utterly embarrassing.
Commenting on the initial statement I posted, the fact that I used satire as a form of expressing is absolutely vague. And again, the term “mediocre” was indeed sarcasm and a synonym as a reference to some of the girls who decided to take pregnancy lightly.

You disagree? Based on what? Your rant is a big wad of ignorant assumptions.

Take a look at what the National Center for Health Statistics has to say about it.

I concur with this completely, Amber.

I don't pretend to know exactly what the original poster had intended with her initial post, but if she meant to lament the access, or lack thereof, to birth control for teens in the US, she didn't put it across very well. It came off as a "mediocre girls get pregnant" type of statement. Which is a weird perspective for a woman to have.

Definitely agree with Amber and Daisy. To me the post and subsequent comments came off as the poster trying to pass off "sluts gotta keep their legs closed" as a feminist observation. Also that she knows way more than, like facts, and statistics and stuff.
