After about a year and a half of reading alternative music site forums, I discovered that I have exposed myself to over 5,000 (Number completely inaccurate)repetitive emo jokes a day. After a while it has become relevent to me that telling vast amounts of emo jokes has lost its fun. Part of this draws from one of the "spirit days" at my high school last year when the popular senior football players dressed up in stereotypical emo drag for the so called emo day. I decided then that in making cliche emo jokes that I am no better than the ass holes who called me a fag on a daily basis.
It might be time to give the emo scene a break. Sure, I'm annoyed when I see a group of them at shows or when a screamo band is on the bill, but at the same time like homosexuality we are all emo to a certain extent. Unless you're a politician, you have a tendency to be emotional at certain times thus leading you to listen to emotional music or write emotional poetry, sometimes excluding parts about suicide and cutting yourself.
So, in conclusion, let's cut down a little on the emo bashing. After all, we all have that little part of us who really likes Jawbreaker.
Is Emo Bashing Losing Its Edge?

Haha
YAY!! Its dying down now, the fad of emo shall die soon, my prediction of 6 months may actualy be accurate.
*glee*
Q: How many emo kids does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: None. They just sit in the dark and cry about it.
HA HA! Big whiny crybaby emo jerkheads!
I didn't know that today's emo kids knew who Jawbreaker were.
yeah.....Jawbreaker is a four letter word at hot topic.
Dude your display picture is the shit!
Yea so emo jokes are over rated. Especially considering that it's a genre of music from the 1990's. Emo jokes only mean that you encourage the retarded labeling of yourself after music. The stereotype is completely messed up. Cutting? anyone can cut blah blah blah.
Just my insight,
Becca
oh, um, yeah, Sure.
