I mean, why not? I'm not made as such though. Just on my way up, capiche?
1)CRIMINAL DAMAGE by BLITZ: I just wanna break windows and sniff glue. I mean, this song just made me a yob. Or was it the beer. Or was it me.
2)DARK ENTRIES by BAUHAUS: I had all these literate friends. The Goths were always cuter and more amenable to suggestion. It's a pretty dark track though, and frenetic as fuck, it doesn't let up you're all twitchy and sharp angled during this one. Then years later, AFI were formed. EEUUUURRRGGHH.
3) JUST WHO IS THE 5 O'CLOCK HERO by THE JAM: Well, it had something of LIFE in it, didn't it. Struggle, soul, all that pap. Lovely horns. Dance all night on amphetamine and still look sharp innit.
4) RIDE DOWN by HANDSOME: O the forgotten post-hardcore Syoopergroop. Chug chugga BAAAMM chugg chugga yeah well you get the picture. So grey and blocklike, yet so fucking .... I dunno. This song is like a Kraken. I am not ashamed of my emotions.
5) THE CLASH by THE BACKYARD BABIES: They don't even make sense. I mean, with english as your second language, I guess that is understandable. More understandable than this song anyway. But it doesn't matter. Because a Glitterball just dropped out of the ceiling and someone's doing a donut on a fuckin superbike and the strippers have arrived with the half tonne of Cocaine.
6)THE ELIMINATOR by AGNOSTIC FRONT: Well you might as well just say it if it's sitting there in the back of your mind. You may lose a few years to it, but at least you'll end up with some rudimentary tattoos. You could get a job as an extra on Eastenders.
7)WHITE MAN IN HAMMERSMITH PALAIS by THE CLASH: It makes so much sense and it just... swings. And it combines all these things that shouldn't work but do. Kids who were into reggae were our rivals, our streetfights. You listen to this enough and you start to see that you're full of shit basically.
8)ASTRO ZOMBIES by THE MISFITS: Well, apart from getting myself covered in danzig/misfit tattoos, this song was POP TO KILL BY. I just completely lost myself in the Horror Movie World of The Misfits for a decade or so. You have to laugh. He was only 5 feet tall.
9)BUZZIN' by ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION: This actually introduced me to a whole raft of stuff, Drum'nBass to House, and it's all because I saw these guys one afternoon on a Canadian Music show that interviewed them on tour. Fucking seismic dervish munter shit. Learnt to let go. The E helped of course.
10) THE NEEDLE AND THE DAMAGE DONE by NEIL YOUNG: Bad or good thing I don't really know. I first heard this song when I was 7, and I just played it over and over again ever since then. It's kinda lame. But it's quite beautiful. Like drugs. Well. Not really actually.
