Dear Photographer From the Lawrence Arms Show Last Night,
While I understand that documenting this sort of thing (punk rock) as being incredibly important, the fact that you were taking pictures throughout the entire sets of the three bands that I saw while wearing a bright yellow shirt was just unacceptable. While I don't always agree with the rules and regulations for big arena shows, I now understand why photographers are made to leave the front of the stage after three songs or so.
Everywhere I looked on the stage, all I could see was your shirt, and then your arms flailing wildly after taking a picture, presumably to get some sort of cool effect in the said pictures.
Crouched stage left. Crouched stage right. Standing stage left. Directly behind the drummer. Standing stage right. Behind the bass amp (I saw you!). EVERYWHERE.
Even when you weren't taking photos, you and your bright yellow shirt were distracting from the side of the stage, as you had to be as close as humanly possible to the performance area without being in the bands you were photographing.
Also, when you smirked and waved at some friend of yours in the crowd, you looked like a guy that just couldn't get a band together for the life of him, so he started taking pictures instead.
Seriously, wear a black shirt.
Sincerely,
Dave Hofer

Lawrence Arms played last night? Damn, I need to pay more attention to things. Screw photographers - we need some courtroom style sketch artists at shows. That's where it's at.
