Hey Folks--

So not only is the site live today, but Punk Planet #75 is also OUT NOW today. It's everywhere: in stores, subscribers mailboxes, and in the Punk Planet merch table as well.

What's 75 about? Well...

The Revenge of Print II.” Featuring a range of articles, interviews, and excerpts from outstanding journalists, authors, publishers, zinemakers, and comics artists who are making waves in the underground, PP75 celebrates print media in all its forms with a follow-up to our first, best- selling Revenge of Print issue PP55. The legendary HARVEY PEKAR talks 30 years in comics and shares his original storyboards, CINDY OVENRACK— creator of the beloved Doris zine—discusses independent publishing, and up-and-comer TOM K. contributes an original comics feature. There are interviews with cutting-edge writers MICHELLE TEA and T COOPER, a conversation with Weird War’s IAN SVENONIUS about moving from music to writing, and fascinating peeks into the vaults of UNDERGROUND PRINT ARCHIVISTS, the world of TRANSGENDER ZINES, and the last decade of BITCH MAGAZINE. We’re also proud to announce exciting new columns by JOHNNY TEMPLE (Girls v. Boys, Akashic Books) and JOSH HOOTEN (Herbivore magazine). Plus, way more!

It's just $3.95--or subscribe for just $21.95 a year at the PP Merch Table!

But, but, but....

I haven't had #74 yet!
I kind of ascribed its being late to my being in Japan, but I hadn't realised two months had gone by yet...

My complaint!

I really wish that I had discovered PP a long time ago...not a few days ago. I love it. I really need to get ahold of some back issues, especially the Revenge of Print part 1.

Your magazine rocks, my favorite part are not only the interviews with authors, but that you also include excerpts from their books which will give me an idea as to whether I'd like to buy the book or not. (Hey it's better than seeing the book on the shelf and not even giving it a second thought.)

You should make and sell stickers that say "if you like this, check out Punk Planet" that we can slap on the covers of other magazines while at the book store.

I'm not sure how legal that would be, but it sure would be enjoyable.

oh my god, that stickers idea is just brilliant!

seriously, how awesome would that be? totally and completely not "ok"—in-store vandalism with no intention to purchase, and i've actually looked into such things—but i love the idea, desperately.

I feel as stunned as you look by your suggestion.
