EVERYBODY loves Pop Will Eat Itself.

I remember the Poppies' This Is The Day... album and The Cure's Disintegration came out on the same day. I was stood in the record shop with only enough pocket money to buy one, and I plumped for the Poppies. I like to think that that was a significant decision in the way my adolescent development turned out, ie more comics and dayglo, and less of Fat Bob moping around and being all significant.

Of course, if I had gone the Cure route, I would probably have had better luck with the girls doing English Lit A-Level. But would I have respected myself in the morning?
