it smelled like anti freeze. my guess is a busted radiator pipe. i have to work at 5 am tomorrow, so i hope i can get it fixed.
my car was smoking out of the vents this morning
i put some water in just now. i dont think the radiator is leaking, but i have been scared that it might have a leak, coz my car is kinda low (hah! mexican low rider stereotype! no virgin mary on the hood though. no back window, either), and with all these bad san antonio pot holes, my car tends to bottom out and i wonder if maybe i have punctured the radiator. but i put some water in and no water on the ground, so i dont know whats up.
Jason, SERIOUSLY, do NOT keep driving your hoopty unless you want to destroy your engine.
I lost my ride this same way. I learned the hard way. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.
Here's what you do: Get your car TOWED to a repair shop. Do not attempt to drive it because if it starts leaking coolant it WILL overheat and warp the engine. Even if you're adding water and anti-freeze, by the time it starts leaking, the hose from the radiator to the engine is already busted beyond repair and the water and coolant won't work. Trust me, I thought I could get by with doing the same thing, and I was WRONG.
Also, if the repair shop tells you it's a busted head gasket...PANIC. You're looking at a quadruple-digit job.
