I know the second that I post this I'll get a bunch of digital rocks thrown at me, but I need to geek out for a second.

I just got a new Blackberry Pearl because I was enticed by its freeness + $50 rebate, so I chucked my LG out the window, canceled my Cingular service and went for it.

Oh... my... god. This thing does everything but my laundry. I almost posted from it, but I couldn't remember my login password. I have already taken pictures of my cats and emailed them to people this morning. I have sent multiple pointless emails. I have completely procrastinated on at least 5 important projects to play with its bells and whistles. I have officially left my ludditity behind.

Anyone have any geeky suggestions for optimum pimpin' out of the Blackberry Pearl on a Mac platform? I'm using PocketMac for syncing, but I'd like to be able to use Mac's Mail and Calendar on the phone as well.

Uh, I could also just send you pictures of my cats, too.

It's not released for Blackberry yet (coming soon), but the Missing Sync is a crazy highly recommended syncing program.

I totally had that site bookmarked yesterday, but I wasn't sure if there was a newer/better software out there. I have officially signed up to be notified when it's released. I'll just have to deal with PocketSync for the moment and make sure I have a computer/iPod/scribbled-on piece of paper with me for any important calendar dates.

Go crazy with a Bedazzler or a glue gun or however you do it to festoon the whole thing with sequins. Trim the screen, adorn the buttons, go nuts!

Like pornography, just without the awkward moments of recognizing your mom's best friend who you called "Aunt Lilly" when you were four...

I'm almost afraid to use it, let along bedazzle it. I'm a notorious "breaker of things." I do have a friend who did that to her phone and it's so, well, her. It's covered in pink and silver stick-on gems and she fashioned a hello kitty head out of them on the back. It keeps people from wanting to steal it, that's for sure.

i had the best beeper ever a few years ago. it was really big, white with gold trim.

i still don't have a cell phone and if i do get one it isn't going to be for another year or so. although i might get a trac phone. maybe. although i doubt it.
