Seeing the recent volley of YouTube links pop up here, I decided to finally research a way of safely getting the videos to show up in place instead of having to link away. Well, after a couple false starts (last night there was a brief period where you couldn't post ANYTHING), there's now a way.
And it's EASY!
All you do is paste in the URL (don't worry about copying out all that embed code) and it'll automatically post the video.
Like Steve Jobs would say, "Boom!"
You were probably doing it while I was doing it too, but I pulled out the href codes from the videos and now everything formats fine.
So folks DON'T USE HTML FORMATTING ON YOUTUBE OR GOOGLE VIDEOS. Just paste the URL in without coding. It'll work. Trust me. The other way around will--at least for the time being--create trouble.
Actually, I can only edit the first post of the thread if I created it, and the last post I made in a particular forum. All my other posts lack an edit button.
I can't get to an edit page for those posts by plugging the edit page url into my browser either.
I suppose out of the hundreds of pp.com users, you're being singled out somehow? Is that it? Is that what you think?
Yeah, I guess there's some big conspiracy against you so you can't post YouTube videos.
