Everyone is always going on about peace and freedom. That the reason we live so freely is because of those men who fought their today for our tomorrow. But how is it that war brought us peace and freedom? We have been told since we were born that violence solves nothing and that murder is forever. Yet we so willingly go into war. What does that solve? Is that not murder? Will that not last forever? It is seen as an honour to serve your country in the war or militery but should it not be shame?! They lead us to believe that it is good but never admitting it nor denying it either. Instead they shake their heads in disgrace when a student goes on a rampage in their school. Expecting them to know better and blaming it all on the youth. But how can we know right from wrong when our world is filled with hate and the government resolves its issues through war and violence? How can you all expect better of the public when all they know is what they have been taught and all they have been taught is decided by the government and shown through the media? Has human intelligence evolved so little that we are not yet capable of learning from our past mistakes???

In a simple nutshell, politics is a cycle and it goes like this, democrats make rules and are supposed to represent the middle and lower classes, republicans break the rules and they represent corporate america, and unfortunately the democrats are getting their pockets lined with corporate money just as often as republicans these days. What really has to happen is that a grassroots movement needs to come along and take the vote away from both parties, it is perfectly legal and it is in our constitution, the problem is, corporate america is greedy and isn't going to let go of it's power in the government that easy, even though it is chewing off it's own legs (by destroying american competition:jobs) because it knows it is trapped. Corporate america has everyone brainwashed into thinking that they need to be good little consumers and go out and buy things, consume, then go get fat, and consume some more.
Another thing to seriously consider, there are not that many smart people in the world, the world is mostly idiots, that is why they are facinated with things like Jeopardy, because they think that makes them smarter, next time if you ever watch it, pay attention to some of the questions, you can tell that they are all backed by a sponsor. Like there will be a "question" about Eminem's new album, or a "Question" about the Rolling Stones when they are on tour...sheesh it makes me want to puke!
What war boils down to is killing, and in war there is money to be made, have you noticed after 9/11 that security spending went waaay up? Yeah because everyone feels unsafe, well how convenient, the government stages an incident, makes some money off of the stock market (Airline stocks plummeted obviously and were cheap to buy and turn around to sell when they were good again.) In the process they get people to spend money on guns, flags, and survival gear. How freaking convenient!
Is it a religious war? No... Religion has been the lamest excuse for war since Christianity and Islam decided to go at it thousands of years ago, and it was a lame excuse back then. They just used Religion as a reason because people feel all teary eyed and get all emotional about Religion, so people follow them, how convenient..
There are mass graves in Bosnia, thousands of illegitimate children that are the result of rape, people that are now grown up and nobody wants to claim them as family, the mothers don't want them, the fathers don't want them, so what do they do? They kill each other, they commit crime, etc... and they buy expensive American goods after trading drugs...what an opportunity!
Will it ever stop? I doubt it, because I don't see people getting any smarter any time soon, they are just going to get dumber and dumber as the coporate sludge brainwashes them into oblivion. And be careful, there are a lot of people that are supposed to protect us that are brainwashed as well into believing this is all good stuff! It is not it is a bunch of BullsNot! They are really afraid deep inside, and they cannot fathom any of this that I am talking about.
That is unless someone does something about it, but they are watching, homeland security, patriot act, it's all a cover for corporate america to watch our buying patterns really, all a cover. They are watching so be afraid, be very afraid.... BUY A GUN!!! WHAT A FREEEEKIN JOKE!
They keep us all separate having us believe that people don't like us, we are brainwashed to think this way through media like newspapers, television and even the internet now. They use all kinds of mind manipulation tools, I wouldn't be surprised if they could read people's minds somehow. They don't want us to form a union to oppose them, this is what Woody Guthrie (one of Bob Dylan's early inspirations) was talking about in his book: Bound for Glory, rent that movie sometime on DVD it has David Carradine (Kung Fu) in it, totally worth the watch no matter how boring at times it seems. I find it strange that this book, Bound for Glory, almost is like a banned book, I couldn't find it anywhere, until I found a 1st edition of it on ebay.
Back in the Depression people formed camps because they couldn't afford homes, Woody would go sing songs about the Union to them, the corporate pigs would come in with bats and sticks and chains and stuff, then they would beat the crap out of him and anyone that was singing a Union song... You ever wonder why there are so many businesses that oppose Unions? Other than teachers? Don't get me started on teachers, they are the worst, they are the only ones that could do anything about it yet they sit on their asses getting brainwashed themselves, brainwashed into brainwashing our children... So the cycle goes on.
Soon they want to implement ID cards that will have a chip in them that will be able to be scanned through your wallet at a distance from a police car, now if this isn't orwellian big brother coming to get us, I don't know what is. If I ever get one of those cards, It's going to accidentally get broken by being crushed somehow on accident.
So stick with the people that are smart, if you don't know them FIND THEM, leave the dork asses behind that don't have a clue, start your own club of people to talk about politics etc... who knows maybe we can avert this nonsense...
Most likely not, because the cattle must be prodded to be kept in line. Our government cannot think of another way to control people, mainly because, big supprise here, they are OLD!! Which brings up another topic, Old People, it's our worst problem, because they are the ones that cannot change, they are the ones that are controlling us really if you think about it. I'm not talking 30 year olds or even 60 year olds, they still have somewhat of a clue, but when you get over 65 people start getting reallllly dumb, they start reverting back to children and they loose their ability to reason!! So you don't have to listen to anyone older than you, as a matter of fact you are better off if you don't, do what you feel is right, that's the best advice anyone can give, and if what you feel is right takes a million failures to get there, so be it. If I die trying to write songs, at least I will die happy, I won't be some corporate butthead that sat in a cubicle for years stinking the place up.
Why do we have people that can't even reason running our country? Because nobody else really wants to, why don't they want to? Because they have been brainwashed into not wanting to, they see it as hard or too difficult, or they see that politicians are corrupt and bad and nobody wants to be like them... so they don't be them, and they just let the assholes rule the world, the ones that are ego centric buttheads... with a control trip to boot.
They are training the future of our police in IRAQ, when they get back they are going to have so much Post Traumatic Stress it's going to be a nightmare, not to mention strange sicknesses that are unexplained, which will most likely be radiation poisoning from "depleted" uranium bullets that are all over that country now.
Now what I propose is first thing, if you are too old to drive a car, you shouldn't be running a country... bye bye really old fart politicians. I do think they need representation though, so maybe like an old person's advisory board or something... bingo, but who represents the children of our country in the government??? The president? The House? The Senate? The Supreme Court? The checks and balances that were put into our government by our forefathers have been invalidated by corporated corruption, wait hold on a minute, the constitution of our country was put there by, you guessed it, white rich people!! If it wasn't for people in the room opposing those rich people, we would have been no better off than any other third world country.
The Patriot act for example has a clause that says a certain company cannot be sued for mercury poisoning of children, um what? yeah that is right, it's in there, and it's now a law... That company lined a lot of pockets with cash in Washington for that.
So to solve the problems of the world:
1. Tax the corporations the same amount as poor people, yes poor people are taxed more, makes a whole lot of sense.
2. Politicians must take an IQ test and make them get a politicians license, I mean they make us get licenses for freaking everything don't they? shouldn't they be getting a license?
3. Make it illegal for our own government to have Weapons of Mass Distruction, I mean who's going to come take them away from us? the russians?
4. Just simply stop paying taxes, go live in a commune, and drop out of society... but they have us all brainwashed into thinking that is baaaad hippie behavior, no they don't want anyone at all forming ANY connection with ANYone else...

sure we could all become anti-social and not pay taxes but how would that change anything? that is just living in denial and will do nothing to change the world as we know it. what about the rest of the world. the ones in third world countries? how are they meant to prevent war etc. perhaps you should try to re-educate the youth. teach them the truth and make them question everything that they've been taught. Perhaps we should all get off our arses and make a stand.
we do need to re-educate the younger generation. many are two busy playing computer games etc to realise what is going on in their world and those that are aware tend to have they facts completly messed up. many people assume that money is the only thing 3rd world countries need. that is completly false. it reminds me of an interview with some stupid man in his 20's criticising Bono-U2 for those unaware, for going on about making poverty history when he lives in huge mansions. fair point you might think, but really your not thinking at all. Bono is raising awareness of poverty by sharing his knowledge with his fans. in order to make poverty history forever, it needs to be done in a sustainable way-one that will still be working in hundreds of years. if we just give money then what is that going to solve, it'll be spent in 50years or whatever and eventually we will be back to square one-but dont get me wrong they difinitly need some aid in the form of money- but what they also need is justice. they have the right to fair trade and cancelled debts so they can begin to help themselves without facing an up-hill battle. this is the kind of help they need from the rest of the world-something people like bono is making known to people all over the world. but we need to further educate people. and not just on poverty in 3rd world countries. the world is a screwed up place. the 'world' being the key word in there. Africa is by no means the only place in which injustice takes place and the rich (in power) constantly win. so what are we going to do about it? not sit on our arse all day moaning and sympathising for people losing their battles with the government. we need to take action. get out into your communities, workplaces, schools, families and get the message out. no it's not going to be easy. no you probably wont get a load of happy and welcoming responses but if this is what you believe in then you need to do it, for yourselves, for those who cant, and for those who are not yet here in the world to do anything about it. it is our future, we need to secure it.
Collectively we are an untrusting, paranoid bunch.
But at least we have our stories.
