Driven by some snotty yippie woman while I was riding my bike. Took off most of the skin on my left knee, where I can't get some chunks of road out, but overall I'm okay.
Pretty scary though. If traffic had been coming, I would have been knocked into it. A couple weeks ago the exact same thing happened to a 14 year old boy, but in his case cars were coming and he was killed on the spot.
Wow. I am glad you're okay. On my ride to work I am usually almost hit by eight cars, and I ride on the sidewalk.

I haven't ridden my bike for transportation since I've been in NYC, 'cause these people are fucking nuts! Glad you're Okay. On a related topic, I used to live in this punk house/crash pad kinda place and one of our visitors happened to be Abbie Hoffman's son, Amerika. I remember watching that dude get his ass kicked mightly--while Manowar's "Kings of Metal" blasted in the background--after unsuccessfully scamming on some crazy skinhead's girlfriend. We had a good chuckle at the dominance of punk over hippy culture.

Funny thing, my bruise/scrape on my knee is actually shaped like a heart. I took pictures of it just for you, but I can't find the cord to put the pictures on my computer.

Pouring a little apple cider vinegar on it hurts like hell but helps it from leaving nasty scars.

I was hit by old people once.
Then i was doored by some lady who was double parked and wanted me to pay for her dented car door with my bicycle insurance!
the flying mindys part was when i was just really, really tired and was riding my bike and somehow just flipped over the handlebars. some construction workers gave me a couple bucks to ride the bus home and a guy on the bus wrote me a note telling me that god loves me and not to cry...which made me cry more.
i got hit by a car once...lol but it was more like i hit a car...it was one of those idiot moments when theres a car stopped at a stop sign or something, and i was on my skateboard and didnt notice lol so techically i hit them lol i thought it was hysterical but im a dork so lol

You're absolutely right. But sometimes the pain is too much for me...you know with all the battles I take part of and whatnot...so a little vinegar helps.
