I still feel like I am not a proper Devo fan becuase I have never heard these.

Does anyone know if they are any good?

Are they worth shelling out the big bux for on e-bay or amazon?

Or does someone perhaps have them online or in a .rar archive I could get?

I'm trying this because last time I posted on here about an album I wanted, Zak posted the whole thing for free and it ruled.

we are not men

Are these tribute/cover albums? I have all their vinyls, which I got from my dad (along with The Cars, rawk!)... but I wouldn't mind hearing some Devo covers either, if anyone has this.

No, Alan

Hardcore Devo is a large collection of recordings made by Devo from 1974 onwards before they made their first studio album. They were released on CD in 1990-91. I have never laid eyes on one in a music store here. They are kinda expensive.

Looky.

I have only listened to a few Amazon bites becuase I do not want to spoil the joy.

Oh, sweet

That's cool, I'll check my iTunes when I get home to see if I have any of the tracks listed. People have sent me Devo rarities over the years. Well, not so much people as one person, who also sent me this comic he made. It was weird. The comic. Not the fact that he sent it to me along with Devo rarities.

I'll shut up now.

hi aaron!

So, you have volume 1 eh?

How do we do that thing where you do all the work, and I just lie there, clicking on the link, and it all starts downloading?

'Filesharing' or whatever.

Have you sent me your mix cd yet? Some have arrived in Australia - I'll get them in July.

If you haven't, um...easy on the mix, heavy on the Devo.

BTW I am sending yours next week.

well...

it's in .aac format. i don't know if that's a dealbreaker for you.

ysi is a pain in the ass. soulseek is the way to go (ie easier for me and likely to provide you with future downloading pleasures). just google search for the program, download it, install it, and let me know when you'd like my username.

I sent it weeks ago, before I left for Africa. So it is probably gathering dust in Australia right now. Didn't know you were into Devo. No Devo, but heavy on the O-Town (which, played backwards, is almost the same thing).

Aaron, am I right in remembering that soulseek is solely a Windows-based program? Do you know of anything similar for Mac OS?

I tried to run a pirated

I tried to run a pirated version windows xp on a macbook and it totally cooked my computer! But then the nice people of apple gave me a brand new one! I used to use Limewire on the mac for P2P and it worked really well. There is a version of soulseek for osx that I'm might check out, though it's gotten pretty bad reviews...

No, You don't

I was making fun of students who hang out in coffeeshops in general. I don't give a shit what computers they use. I'm not that big of a nerd.
