Zine Assignment--suggestions

for the 2nd semester now I'm going to have doing a zine as an option for final project for my Intro to Women's Studies class.

does anyone have any suggestions as to:

1) what the requirements should be to ensure a quality project
2) how to explain/describe zines
3) how to evaluate zines for a grade
