the thing is, she's totally right:

The US *should* help the students of the US, because they don't *have* maps, which reminds me of South Africa too. Which the US should also help.

It is unclear to me whether or not they have maps but I think they still need help.

And if I were her I wouldn't worry so much. I'm sure at least one in five Americans thought her response was articulate and insightful. At first it sounded like she was going to blame the stupidity of Americans on Osama, which would've almost made a bit more sense. I imagine her redneck father probably gave her some talking points: "Now honey, if they ask you one of them trick questions, just say somethin' about them poor jungle bunnies in South Africa, and The Irakees.
