sure you can

just click a name on your list. that'll bring you to their profile page. The "add to my friends list" button will have changed to "remove from my friends list" voila.

any tryhard newbie could befriend an old salt like me, and there would be nothing i could do. it says 'friend of' on my profile whether i like it or not...
