Dan, to my knowledge, yes, at least some prawn crackers really do contain prawn. I guess how much varies by maker.

Crab chips, however, are crab-free, as they are merely coated in this seasoning, which by itself is decidedly vegetarian but happens to be used liberally in the steaming of crabs:

Ingredients: CELERY SALT (SALT, CELERY SEED), SPICES (INCLUDING MUSTARD, RED PEPPER, BLACK PEPPER, BAY [LAUREL] LEAVES, CLOVES, ALLSPICE [PIMENTO], GINGER, MACE, CARDAMOM, CINNAMON), AND PAPRIKA.

Tastes great on French fries, too (those would be the true "crab chips" to you!), especially with plenty of malt vinegar to boot.

Mmmmm, Cooper's makes some yummy beers. But Black Mac is a mighty fine beverage. Please drink several for me. It is incredibly hard to find in the States.
