I'm really fucking stupid

I am so

fucking vague and stupid recently.

I lost my son's school bag, then brought a replacement and lost it the next day. Then I lost my own bag. Then I ordered a new school reader book to replace the one in the bag I lost, and then promptly lost that one too.

Just now I realised that the important meeting I was supposed to go to was on Tuesday this week, not Thursday, even though the e-mail regarding it clearly says the 13th, which was Tuesday. (It's Wednesday now).

So then I rang up the woman who organised it and apologised for not coming to the meeting today, even though the 13th was yesterday. There was kind of embarrased silence from the other end of the line.

The meeting was about me getting work as a fucking project manager next year.

Jeez.

why, as an Australian, you find yourself living in the Solomon Islands? Were I an American who found myself living in the Dominican Republic, an Englishman who found myself in the Orkneys, a Canadian who found myself in Newfoundland, a Libyan who found myself in Chad, I might ask of myself a similar if not altogether identical question.

I didn't find myself here.

I can distinctally rememmer moving.

Anyway they had this civil war in 1999-2003. The wife got a high paid job as a lawyer sorting out all the cases from the 'tensions.'

It's not 'the war' or 'the troubles' here. It's 'the tensions'.

Anyway as a family we earn nearly twice as much money now than when we were both working at home.

And I know which side me bread is buttered on.
