Hey people, I wrote a secret book and took it on tour with me and I only have four left but I'm bringing them to Cambodia with me on Friday but luckily I was smart enough to handmake covers for them and send them over to the cool kids at Fall of Autumn just in time for their second anniversary I think? Anyway: http://www.fallofautumn.com/index.php?option=com_phpshop&page=shop.brows...

Reviews so far have been mixed. One guy told me he laughed so hard he peed, and another merely snorted throughout.

sure. review away

or not. so many options.

you know, i got them printed somewhere that i can't recommend, as they screwed up the paper stock and took weeks to resolve, which they did by mombling an apology and looking sheepishly at the floor while i demanded a reiumbursement.

yes

Yes, you should review it...I would be honored if it was for my site but no pressure. And I am just hoping that the fancy custom one will still be available from Fall of Autumn come payday!

endorsement

The Manifesti is awesomeness bounded by glue and paper. Sorry I haven't raved about it yet, but it is damn good.

mini-review

I read this late at night over Thanksgiving break. My wife and kid were sharing one bed, and I was in my sister's foyer with a fold-up couch and my sister's boyfriend's repeating rifle in the corner and all these books about native americans. Very interesting environment. Anyway, the Manifesti are really great. They are like little microcosms of AEM's books (but I guess you should get those, too) and it's an at-turns inspirational and challenging little thing. Great piece of the politics of dictionaries. (It reminded me of the excellent thoughts about this in Autobiography of malcolm x and the loaded definitions of white, black and...aardvark.)

Great piece on the politics of punctuation and spelling, made more interesting by the standardized spelling and punctuation used throughout the book. Another great piece about Adbusters and why it might suck (or at least, what the limits of it and culture jamming in general are. No easy answers but some great things to think about.

Incidentally, the cover and frontispiece have this McSweeny's thing going on, but the writing inside is sharp, forceful and very, very good.
