I think everything up to

I think everything up to diamond dogs is great
with some real clunkers on each album.

Although, Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust has remained one of my favorite "go to" albums. I never get tired of hearing it.

Hmmm...

That's like a whole different Bowie, but definitely not a bad period.

But none of that compares to Low. I like his 76-80 stuff best I think.

But, christ, I even really like some of his newer stuff like Heathen.

The only thing that I think all Bowie fans can agree with is that, sans Labyrinth and Scary Monsters, 80's Bowie can pretty much go away.

And Labyrinth can really only be watched on mushrooms, which I think I've clarified before.

Oh, and fuck Tin Machine.

.

Hunky Dory.

Tin Machine kinda blew my mind when I first saw them perform on some awards show when I was like ten. The were so sloppy and basic and dressed sharp at a time when everybody was doing the hairspray and spandex shit that Bowie invented 15 years before. The performance definitely felt like a big fuck you. But I can't listen to that album.

Hunky Dory, hands down.

You know, I still listen to Tin Machine now and then. I think that first album is fantastic. The second album, however, is unlistenable.

space oddity.

although i like the song 'running gun blues' so much that man who sold the world' is a close second.

but space oddity has 'letter to hermione' on it so it wins out.
