Internet cables cut?

Can anyone make sense of this story? Did cables that provided internet to Egypt, India, and Iran get cut and shut out 100+ million users? Or is this some bullshit conspiracy theory nonsense?

So far it seems like nonsense, as no one seems to be reporting it except for some not very reputable "news" organizations and a couple small regional affiliates (I saw one from an ABC affiliate in Australia, and another for a MN paper).

Anyone?

I can't think of any other possible explanation as to how some flimsy cables thousands of feet under the sea could become compromised, other than Israel's and ZOG's plans to create an information blackout while they build a landing strip for Jesus's UFO.
