Any of you Chicago people checking them out on the 19th? You can hang out and get a beer with me and my crew.

p.s. in other news I just dropped $164 on records today. I plan on spending the next 3 days locked in my room, drinking wine and listening to amazing music.

I saw X way back in the 80's

I saw X way back in the 80's opening up for Warren Zevon at Busch Gardens Tampa. JD and Exene were broke up at the time and Tony Gylkinson (sic?) was playing guitar. Exene was pregnant from her new beau and John Doe's pregnant girlfriend was backstage. That was interesting.

This time around, it's supposed to be the original lineup. I bet they all look super old.

Yeah, but I bet Billy Zoom is still a bad-ass.

Did you ever see the 'Unheard Music' DVD? Exene and Billy Zoom both come across as really vacant, but Zoom seems to be copping a disaffected coolness vacancy while Exene just comes across as stupid, which is a shame because she isn't.

PS Nice blue hair, Boxcar.
