-Demons exist on the physical world and rule civilization.
-Everything in the universe exists of itself to replicate different manifestations of the same actions. I don't even know what that means but I am convinced.
-non-intravenous drug using heterosexual men can't get AIDS anymore. Previous cases of heterosexual men getting AIDS were situations where the dude didn't want to admit what he'd been up to.
-there is a secret reason for living because A) You have no consciousness before life; B) All your life you are afraid of dying and unconscious of life C) When you die your consciousness ceases to exist. So why life? I don't know but I think if there were no point to life either you would exist forever or not care about dying.
Bizarre(?) theories to which I susbcribe
- there is something to the whole theory that backwards masking kills kids dead
- zines are important
- nothing can be determined by "human nature" as there is no such innate force, yet "stupidity" undoes a lot of stuff
- when the race war comes, somehow, I will end up on the non-white side, maybe even their leader
- if I wanted to I could have sex with any one of you
If I think about my teeth, they will rot faster.
If I think about car accidents, one will happen to me or someone I know.
My entire life is, and has always been, an immense hallucination.
Chaos is the source of all life.
Autonomous life forms, made out of data, exist in the minds of numerous people, sometimes entire civilizations, propagating themselves through cultural apparatus, manifesting their will through unexplained actions by masses of people.
Anybody read the Lucifer Principle? I haven't read enough about all that mumbo-jumbo to know if he's just a con or is on to something but it was a pretty interesting book. But it is about how demons control the tv and how they zap into our minds and reconnect neurons. Fascinating read.
it is less about demons actually existing as entities on the physical plane and more about them being a handy metaphor to explicate otherwise confusing and crippling psychological constructs. The older I get the more tolerant I become of religion. Once you relinquish absolute dependence on the rationalist worldview you realize that it is very often necessary to believe in stupid shit that you know isn't real just in order to be able to cope with daily life. A world that includes supernatural possibilities is more interesting than one that doesn't. Really what I am saying is that sanity is pretty boring.
Hmm. The older I get, the less vehement my disdain is for religion. That is to say, it doesn't inspire the violent wrath in me that it used to. But I wouldn't say I'm more tolerant of it. That said, I must confess to being more tolerant of people who believe in witchcraft and the paranormal. I'm not sure why I make the distinction. I guess I appreciate others who have rejected the Enlightenment rationality of Modernity, but loathe those who make themselves sheep to conventional religious doctrines. But listening to a voodoo doll? Hey, that is OK with me.
Yeah, I think "less vehemently disdainful" is probably a more accurate descriptor for my attitude as well. I think I probably said "more tolerant" because I am around Mexicans a lot and Mexican Catholicism is just all this crazy syncretist mostly pagan shit anyway.
-- space and distance and time do not really exist.
-- every cryptid I read about must be real.
-- there are alien structures on the moon.
-- some of the apocrypha.
-- aliens left a library under Ecuador.
-- Tesla really did talk to aliens on Mars.
-- there are strange radioactive chambers underneath Tunguska.

Awesome, thanks!
I think I may have already posted this a while back when I first got it done, but this is the tattoo I'm talking about wanting to finish: http://a451.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/30/l_0fb1eed3447fc274c3451...
I didn't read this entire post but it made me think of this one time I swear I had this strong demon presence in my apartment...I wasn't fucked up at all when it happened either, but I was home alone. This happened about 8 years ago.
I had made this big paper-cut design out of black paper with white vellum taped to the back. It had been a piece I had made for a play and I liked the way it looked so I kept it. I was doing homework and I just felt like it was staring at me. I kept looking at it and it was friggen staring at me, it didn't have a face either, it was kind of an abstract design like one of those snowflake cutouts....then my cassette player turned on by itself, played for a few minutes...I turned it off and the counter stopped at 666. I had to rip up my paper-cutout and throw it away.
I've definitely had a few weird happenings that I swear are not of a normal origin:
-When I was a kid, I was always the last one to leave in the morning. I noticed that the basement light was on and the door was open, so I shut off the light and closed the door before I left. When I got home from school the light was on and the door was open again. I thought that maybe I'd forgotten to actually remedy it in the morning and went to go take care of it. When I got to the top of the stairs, I saw only a shadow walking down them, with nothing around actually casting the shadow.
-A couple years ago I was doing some urban exploring in a building that is rumored to be a bit of a hipster suicide hot spot. I was standing in front of a bricked over window with a tarp to my left. I heard a noise from the tarp. When I looked over I saw what looked like someone on the other side of the tarp running their hands down it. I started running. As I left, I looked back and nothing was on the other side of the tarp.
-I was home alone this past fall and for some reason felt like listening to a Ramones record (I usually hate the Ramones but for whatever reason was in the mood for it). I put it on, then went into the bathroom to finish getting ready. After a couple songs, I heard a female voice singing along. I know there's not a female on the record, so I started calling my roommates names only to discover that I was still by myself. I turned off the record player and left. Later that night when I was sleeping, the record player turned itself on again and started making weird scratching noises.
-The other night a pot of vegan mac n cheese sauce that hadn't turned out well threw itself off the stove just as I was thinking about how to dispose of it.
When I was a kid I woke up in the middle of the night and heard what sounded like a bouncy ball bouncing down the stairs to the basement. The sound kept recurring over and over again. It wasn't my sisters because they were both asleep...and so were my parents. I think I hid under my bed...the noise didn't stop until my dad got up.
Certain objects, when left in the bedroom over night, generate nightmares. Kind of like a dreamcatcher, but in reverse. I've had this happen with two objects. The first was a blue stained glass lamp shaped like a lighthouse, which caused me to have blue-tinted dreams about plants taking root in my flesh and growing out of my legs. The other was a ceramic demon I made in pottery class in high school. It caused me to have red and gray dreams about finding horribly mutilated bodies.
At least not in the Earth's lifetime.
But before their spaceship comes, and after the time of humans has passed, they will rule an underground kingdom (yes complete with a labyrinth and goblins), and Bowie will shout out phrases, whilst wearing a leotard, such as "Well, well..." and "You take too many things for granite" and "Forget about the baby."
And Iman will be all "There are no more babies you smelly twat."
And Bowie will be all "Well, well..."
I forgot that besides believing in paranormal activity, I have a few other bizarre beliefs:
-I've always had a strong feeling that I will die before I'm 30.
-and that it will be in a rather violent way, most likely a nasty car crash
-separately, I also believe that it's not necessary to force anything and that worrying is a waste because things will always sort themselves out. I'm afraid I'm terribly optimistic, despite my best intentions.
-I also subscribe to various conspiracy theories, but I doubt that's all that bizarre or surprising.
