I am feeling the hit in the market. Tonight's dinner: two packets of mustard.
So are we all broker?
If you have all your money n the bank, you are throwing it away. Might as well set it on fire. You gotta get some of that shit in a slow growing money market account or something. I don't have enough money to invest anymore. When I was younger though, I made a nice amount off the unstoppable growth of Fidelity Magellan. Those were the glory days.
You could always put it into a money market account (or cd) in a foreign currency. FDIC insured Forex dabbling is not just for international playboys anymore. In fact it's a great way to do your part and hasten the decline of American decadence and Imperialism by casting a vote of no confidence in the future the US. If you'd put your savings into a mm account in Swiss francs at the beginning of the year, you may have only gotten a 1% APY return, but when you took that shit out, it would've bought you 20% more USD than when you put it in. You could've bought yourself a nice new pair of Nikes and a couple of Frappucinos with the proceeds. My conservative, "socially responsible," well diversified portfolio has currently lost me more money than I made the year before last. PUNK ROCK!
I got useful work coming out of my ears. I was just giving advice so you could pursue your own bourgeois fantasees. But really shorting the stock market, and the finacial sector's engaging in the risky lending that has resulted in the credit crunch has had the end effect of the Bush administration nationalizing the banks, so you are one step closer to your socialist paradise, comrade.
