I feel like now-a-days punks are the hippie of yesteryear. Like instead of wearing Jimi tshirts and hacking on the quad, they are wearing anti-flag patches on black denim and talking about Metalocalypse, smoking cigarettes. At least the hippies got exercise. Maybe this is old hat.
I was riding in the car with this punk dude and he's talking to me about Metalocalypse because the theme song is playing on WNYU and the dude's never even heard of WFMU. Poseur. It's the next station on the dial and plays better music. WNYU sucks, punk sucks, patches suck, black denim jackets suck, nose piercings suck, etc.

The following is overdramatic, but mostly true

The lack of naivete and youthful enthusiasm on these here boards is a major downer sometimes. It's always kind of sad when young people stumble here because they expect to find such things. When they don't, some of them get pissed off and leave. The other ones become prematurely jaded and allow a piece of themselves to die (usually this piece consists of their hopes/dreams/enthusiasm).
