Are there any stores that sell stop watches anymore?

I need one to do work in the darkroom. There are absolutely no stores that sell them. I go to CVS, they tell me to go to the jewelers' across the street, the jeweler looks at me like I just shat on his floor and says he has never sold stop watches. The sporting good store does not sell them, the Rite Aid does not sell them, the Family Dollar does not sell them, and every time, with the exception of the jeweler, they tell me that they used to sell them, but quit. Have they been banned? Do companies still make them anymore? Why can't I find one now that I need it? Has the function been completely taken over by cell phones or iPods?

Everywhere has these. Even Wal-Mart. If you want a good one, go to an antique shop.

Alan's Right!

A few months ago I looked everywhere (except the internet) for a stop watch and could not find one--tried the big boxes (not wal-mart though), sporting goods, etc. No stop watches.

Then I remembered that I had a cell phone and a watch (and now a heart-rate monitor) that all have stop watch functions.

See, I've been trying to

See, I've been trying to find a lap-counter, but all I found are stop-watches. Huh.

Why not

just use an egg timer. I mean, they never work for me when i am timing eggs, but they have to be good for something.

Maybe summoning the ghost of Betty Crocker?
