THAT'S WHY!
Didn't you get married like a year or two ago? Then again, I am famous for mixing up people and events on this internet place.
My girl kid turns 3 today. We are going to try to make another one pretty soon here. It doesn't matter if the new one is a boy kid or girl kid, we just want one more. And also a new car.
My husband has lost his mind and thinks that we should put the old kid and the new kid in a minivan. When that happens I can no longer come visit you kids here because I will officially be lame.
I'm two kids in. I miss the old times at times, but I dig this current act.
Do you still play music?
That is one of the biggest drag of parenting for me: not playing music on a regular basis.
Not playing music is the biggest drag for me too, but I think if we weren't in school and working more than full time, both my husband and I would still play music, so I don't freak out too much, although I really miss the release and exercise. I figure once we graduate we'll go back to playing since we miss it so much. Then again, we'll be two kids deep by that time.
One of my husband's old bands had a reunion show last month and you could just see what a difference playing again made for him.
Joe plays guitar and Paige and I will play tamborine or with one of the many kid sized instruments we have, but since I play bass, my instrument gets kind of left out.
We plan on moving in 2 years to either Bellingham, WA or Fort Collins, CO (we're still feeling both towns out) and changing our lifestyle a lot. This rat race stuff isn't for me.
I'm sure I'll play music then. But for now, the only music we play at our house happens as a family.
Oh, and weird thing. After I had my daughter I couldn't sing anymore. Don't know why, but I can't hold a tune to save my life.
I can't sing anymore either, but I don't know if it has that much to do with kids, as it happened shortly before having kids. I've done a few weak attempts at bands, but they've been stymied by the fact that a few minutes after starting to sing, I go into uncontrollable coughing fits. My doctor thinks I either have a mild form of asthma or "singer's nodules." Whoopee!
I just really miss the camaraderie of being in a band. I wouldn't mind doing something where I have a few friends come over now and then and we noodle around. Maybe I should learn to play the banjo.
We bought Sadie this pretty great musical kit for Christmas — she rocks out on the harmonica. We also watch a lot of Jack's Big Music Show, because it is awesome.
no sondra I did not
get married three years ago!
dang
but hi!
I am happy to hear of all
the kid business.
I think I will go make some
more pretty soon.
All the rest will be jewish now
so that will shore up my retirement.

i am not a GIANT HOMO

also, you didn't happen to be at the GOlden Axe show at the mink/backroom this past saturday did you? i was there and my face melted again as usual.
ty!!
congratulations!
i love you and i hope you bring the lovely missus and the little one to this blighted isle soon, so i can hug you all.
Thank you Daisy,
I am not sure when we will be
traveling to the Englands.
I hope it is soon although my friends
kidnapped mi wife's cousin and took her
to a "wash a lady" show in New Orleans
so there may be a cadre of angry Mancunians
out there waiting for me.
And every angry Mancunian has at least seven angry, older, bigger brothers.
All wearing anoraks, of course.

out now
