It was parked in front of my house. Further proof that the neighborhood that I live in is less than, well, safe, for lack of more colorful language. I'm pretty sure it was semi-personal and whoever did it was just laughing their cracked out ass off. Why else would someone want a '94 Olds? They didn't even break the glass. Broke the lock and must have hotwired it all efficient like. I should've been using The Club - I was living in denial.
On the plus side, I now no longer have to pay for insurance or crazy expensive gas. I also don't have to worry about which side of the street it's parked on and what time or whether or not someone will break into it. I also don't have to get that locking gas cap I had anticipated buying to curb the thuggish siphoning of gas when the apocalypse hits in a few months.
On the minus side, I am now spending gas money on cigarettes and wheezing my way to work on my bike, the bus, or the train. I also lost some pretty awesome cassettes.
- The Grunge Years
- The Smiths The Queen is Dead
- The Mighty Lemon Drops World Without End
- various mixtapes, all awesome, made by Amber, Ben, another poster whose name I can't remember, and a couple of old crushes
- and a bunch of other stuff that I'll remember when I most want to listen to it
In the spirit of my neighborhood, I'm going to tip a '40 in remembrance of Bessie II. Actually, it's not a '40. It's a bottle of screw cap wine. Close enough.
Also, hi! Long time me no post. I'll let you know if my car turns up a burned carcass a block or so away. On the plus side, there hasn't been a major shooting outside of my place in at least 2 weeks. Life is good.
p.s. more pictures of rusty, bullet-holed car carcasses please. And no, I'm not being sarcastic.
