Your record collection, to me, seems like a collection of esoteric neo-gnostic scrolls, understanding which, although I try my hardest, eludes me.

I like that.

i wish instead of being all about mysterious bank drafts

the Nigerian spammers would pretend to be Popular Cooper or somebody and invite me to be in their band, because I would totally fall for that. There is probably no money in it though. The scam would have to be unduly complex -- like, you would have to run the statistics and figure out that X percentage of your dupes were wealthy heirs whom you could ransom when they got off the boarding ramp at Lagos with stars in their eyes. Meanwhile you would have to find bookings for a lot of bands that had credulous white dudes playing the triangle or maracas in them.

probaly easier to scam

probaly easier to scam credulous nigerian musicians into thinking that there were lot of rich white people who were interested in paying for their music.

also, a factual note: maracas and traingle both quite hard to play.

once when i was helping to organise a conference we had applications from all these nigerians, saying "we are experts in (YOUR FIELD) and would love to come to (YOUR CONFERENCE) but are unable to attend without visas allowing us to remain in (YOUR COUNTRY)."
