those ducks were very persistent. my duck looked like the brown one that stopped right after she got in the bucket and just sat there in the way.

That is a female mallard, I believe. Did you let her waddle around an enclosure or what?

I'm thinking ducks don't make good urban or suburban pets. My apartment would smell of duck feces. :(

well we generally kept her

well we generally kept her in our basement and during the day we put her in a large outdoor play pen...i guess technically it was like a choral for kids...and i think my dad put chicken wire over the top of it...but she escaped every time and went in the woods. he caught her a few times...but then gave up. i grew up in a very small town and someone who we knew who owned a farm gave her to us.
