I'm a bit partial to the plain magnums myself, and the coke in glass bottles found in switzerland and france. more syrup, i think.

after working at the cinema and seeing how gross the fountains get, i'm a little queasy about fountain coke.

I totally forgot to figure in the glass bottle coke! 'Round here, I always begged my friends to bring them back from Mexico with them. That tops the list, in any case.

As for fountains: my summer at the movie theater may have prompted me to swear off of matinee popped corn (word up: it is stored in clean trash bags overnight and put back in the hopper in the AM...), but I chose to IGNORE the memories of what comes off of and through a fountain nozzle.

I swore off Coke and other syrupy carbonated beverages (call 'em sodas, pop, whatever -- we use to call all of them 'cokes' as is "Do you want a coke?" "Sure." "What flavor?" "Sprite.") However, I do occasionally buy non-American Cokes just so I can taste it flavored with sugar instead of the high fructose corn syrup they now use. Yes, you can really and truly taste the difference.

So, in keeping with Nora "I'm so glad she blogs here" Rocket's list, here is my top five drinks I consume daily during the summer, in order of quantity:
1. Sweet ice tea
2. tap water
3. Beer
4. gimlets or tequila, depending on my mood
5. Hot tea, always Earl Grey

Ugh, they couldn't pay me to eat the popcorn! not only is it stored in trash bags, but the staff are always sticking their hand in there and eating it. Of course, not me, because my OCD doesn't permit me to.

I know what you mean about ignoring certain things. I've been a waitress in too many places to ever want to eat out again, if I didn't completely ignore my knowledge of the hygiene standards of the average commercial kitchen.

And, I'm salivating now.

How come you and I are the only dopes logged in at 9:20 eastern time? We are day-jobbing dopes, no doubt.

Earl Grey is my favourite hot tea.
