This Taco Bell contest has been talked about before. Ted Leo + RX won it, apparently Leo didn't sign up, and has requested that the company take his name off it. I figured it was something like this when I heard, considering his outspoken anti-corporate stances and pro-veggie deal, so good on him for making a stink:

This is great. But, I think you are misrepresenting something Paul. You imply that Ted Leo was blaming Gmail for the outcome. But that isn't exactly the case. He reports that someone used a fake e-mail account to subscribe him to the Taco Bell program. He isn't really blaming Gmail, but the prankster who used the fake account.
