Cops to Printer's Ball: Print is Dead

So the always highly successful Printers' Ball, held on Friday night, was raided by the cops and shut the fuck down. Why? No one's quite sure--the current explanation is liquor violations! Read all about it here and here.

Was in the choir. She says they were the first and only act that got to perform. Her understanding from that night was that it was shut down due to over capacity.

over capacity, no liquor license, or neighborhood discontent - whatever. Just the thought that a bunch of egg headed, self-proclaimed literati could bring down the hammer of the Chicago Good Squad is the shit of gangsterland mythology!
