I've never seen a monsoon beore. Its fucking ridiculous. We have had, averaged out, about ten hours a day of steady rain, and another three to five hours of very heavy rain, every day, for about a week. And it was rainy before! I's not like we had a dry spell and then this happened. It was pouring with rain every day and THEN the monsoon came. AND we are in a rainshadow (!) so it is even wetter elsewhere. Hah! Poor basards. This morning I got a cheap chinese umbrella (which later broke) and walked along the highway, staying semi-dry while it pelted down around me for hours, and then I sat on the shore at the Iron Bottom Sound and drank coffee and watched it some more. Awesome. And no sign of it stopping for days yet.
