On the poetry front, I'm starting to submit to more publications and am waiting on feedback from them- however, one of my poems is being anthologized. Which, is pretty cool.

===
By the end of the calendar year, I want to move out of Providence. Not sure where, exactly, but Boston does hold certain sway with me...fact of the matter is, all the JWU kids gobble up all the culinary related jobs (after all, it makes more economic sense to pay some 19/20 year old kid 8 bux an hour), and this town grinds to a halt in the summer- hence, I get rather tired of scrambling for part time jobs and the cost of living is way too fucking high. I mean seriously...I have to work 5 weeks here, at my part time to earn the money I made in a week when I was cooking in Boston which is fucked up. Not to mention my lack of health insurance. I do however, get paid holidays which is some consolation and I like my co-workers which helps, but after student loans, rent and the rest, I really don't have much discretionary income..and I do believe my lack of a vehicle is hindering my hire ability.

Ok, so that was one hell of a bitchfest. Sorry.

Leave Rhode Island.
The world is waiting for you, and it is not just in Boston.

I'd hold that most of the world is so much greater than Boston that one should just, ah, blow the whole area and head west. Recent developments have punished *me* quite enough for coming out here in the first place. You've paid your dues for sure; split!

Also, also, sorry about the tuff times. Cost of living out here is really disproportionately high and I've found wages to not be fittingly larger--sounds like it's different in your trade, though.

Propers on the poetry publication, too.

Congrats, on the poetry. As for the rest, keep your chin up.

--Truth be told, I've also been entertaining notions of Washington DC and Pittsburgh (but my arthritic knees beg for warmer climates)

also, thanks for the congrats.
