A Conversation Between My Dad and I

by OneGirrlRiot | 07/10/2007 | in college | parents | whatever

Dad: What are you doing?

Me: Reading.

Dad: Why don't you go and do something productive?

---ten minutes later---

Dad: Do you still want to do that journalist crap?

Me: Yes.

Dad: I know you don't care about money, but I think you would be better off finding something where you can actually make money, I mean you don't want to live in some apartment for the rest of your life do you?

Me: So you want me to be a doctor or lawyer or something?

Dad: That's not what I'm saying...but I'd be happy if you did that instead.
