Why does everything have to be punk with you people?

I think it's often used to get down to the mockees level. The person being mocked is perceived as caring more about the punkness of something than about the logicality or overall benefit of it.

I'd just prefer that people treat punk like zen. A mystery that is only understood once you stop looking for it. Of course, that could get be my old-aged complacency talking.
